Using the website
You may browse the website and use its resources for learning and evaluating CYOBot. Use forms and services lawfully, provide accurate information when contacting us, and respect other people's privacy. Do not attempt to access another person's account or data, bypass access controls, introduce malicious software or disrupt the website.
Learning resources and safe use
Guides, project briefs and quiz results support learning. Quiz matches are suggestions for exploration and do not certify qualifications or guarantee education or employment outcomes. A project demonstration is not a promise that every hardware configuration will behave the same way.
Check the instructions and compatibility for your specific kit, software and components before building or running a project. Use appropriate adult supervision for children, follow manufacturer safety instructions, and keep moving parts and electrical components away from people and hazards. Stop a project if it behaves unexpectedly and seek help before continuing.
Content and software licences
CYOBot and the relevant contributors retain their rights in website text, designs, images and other materials. You may link to public pages and use learning resources for your own study. Ask us before republishing CYOBot materials unless an accompanying licence already permits that use. Do not imply endorsement or remove attribution.
Code, firmware and downloads may have their own licences. Follow the licence supplied with each repository or file; these website terms do not replace it or restrict permissions it grants. Third-party materials remain subject to their owners' terms.
Products and external services
Product descriptions and demonstrations help you evaluate the kit. Confirm the current model, contents, compatibility, price and availability with the seller before purchasing. A contact enquiry does not place an order. Purchases and crowdfunding pledges are subject to the terms presented by the relevant seller or platform at the time of the transaction; this page does not change an existing order or pledge.
Links to documentation, repositories, videos, social networks and crowdfunding platforms take you to services with their own policies. Check those policies before providing information or making a payment.
Privacy and accounts
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle contact messages, subscriptions, quiz answers, account data and analytics. Submitting an enquiry or taking the quiz does not subscribe you to marketing updates without your separate choice.
Dashboard access depends on a verified account and the permissions granted in your workspace. Keep your sign-in methods secure and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. These public website terms do not grant workspace access or replace separate arrangements agreed with your organization.
Availability and your rights
We work to keep the website useful and accurate, but content and services can change and may be interrupted. Contact us if information appears incorrect or a download does not work. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes consumer guarantees or other rights and remedies that applicable law does not allow to be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law where it applies.
